King-Bradlee Road Diet Meeting Tonight

February 15th 2024 EDT

Tonight, city government representatives will hold an Open House and present their plans to _redesign King Street between Quaker Lane and the I-395 interchange_. The project is intended to improve safety, bus transportation, bicycling, and drainage. If you frequently use that stretch of King Street to commute or visit Bradlee Shopping Center, please plan to attend. The Open House begins at 5 pm. Road Project -- Duke/Cambridge/West Taylor Run

SHA Residents: The city's Transportation & Environmental Services Department will be redesigning the intersections of Duke & Cambridge (at Bishop Ireton) and Duke & West Taylor Run. They are offering the public the opportunity to weigh in on the the three design options.  The first option is to keep the intersections and the service road that runs between them as is. Fellow residents, Last week was busy for your board members. Among others from Seminary Hill, your immediate past president Carter Flemming, former president Nancy Jennings, current vice president Frank Putzu, and I all appeared at the city council public hearings.
